RentHolder

Terms of service

Last updated: June 17, 2026

These terms govern your use of RentHolder, a neutral deposit-escrow service operated by RentHolder. By using the service you agree to them.

The service

RentHolder acts as a neutral custodian that holds a rental deposit in a segregated account and releases or refunds it according to clear, pre-agreed conditions. RentHolder is not a landlord, lender, insurer, or deposit-replacement scheme.

Fees

A fee applies per completed transaction, charged only when a deposit is successfully released. The current fee is shown on our pricing page and again to the landlord when a deposit request is created, before any commitment. No fee is charged on a deposit that is refunded because a deal did not complete.

Disputes

Where parties disagree on the release of a deposit, RentHolder provides a structured evidence and resolution process.
